As part of my art portfolio for my application for textile conservation graduate school, I recreated this Christian Dior design, Catchottiere from Autumn/Winter 1950-51. The pattern can be found in Christian Dior: History and Modernity published by the Royal Museum of Ontario.
The two-piece dress is constructed from a wool crepe with a silk taffeta lining, horsehair interlining, and cotton net understructure.
